  7. I/O Concepts offers X-Direct products for almost any connectivity requirement
  8. between a UNIX workstation or UNIX-derived operating system and an IBM
  9. 3270-class mainframe host. Five products are available. X-Direct 1 is a SCSI to
  10. IBM coax (3270) product that provides X Window System-based (Open Windows or
  11. Motif) 3278/3279 emulation for the UNIX computer and is CUT-mode compatible.
  12. X-Direct 1+ allows up to five DFT sessions between a single UNIX workstation
  13. and an IBM 3270 mainframe. X-Direct 5 and X-Direct 40 SCSI to COAX Gateway
  14. products allow a UNIX workstation to become a Telnet gateway into the IBM
  15. mainframe. These run up to 40 simultaneous Telnet client sessions from any
  16. workstation on a TCP/IP WAN

  18. X-Direct Telnet 3278/3279 client product allows a workstation to use the
  19. Ethernet LAN for a direct connection to the host via a standard IBM TN3270
  20. interface (3172), third-party TN3270 servers, or X-Direct COAX Gateway
  21. products. This client is X Window System-based and supports both Open Windows
  22. and Motif. The X-Direct products also include a CURSES-based TTY interface for
  23. asynchronous terminals. All products support bidirectional and multiple file
  24. transfer for TSO, CMS, and CICS using the IBM mainframe application INDILE.
